GET OUT OF THE TIGHT SPOT

Are You Trapped Between A Rock And Hard Place?
GET OUT OF THE TIGHT SPOT.!
Giving your tithe is one sure way of getting God to get you out of a tight spot.

GIVING A TENTH OF YOUR INCOME TO GOD
is what is meant by Tithing.
Why"Do we Have to Tithe?" People sometimes do ask ! But what we should rather ask is; "Do we Get to tithe?" The word "Have" implies obligation and "get" implies a privilege. Tithing is something God lets us in on, a special privilege to His beloved children.

GIVING BACK TO GOD THE TENTH
of all that comes into our hands; usually our income or any financial gain.
It is also a secret Key God hands over to us, that gives us assess into His store house of Blessing which we maintain through Obedience.
It is like getting into partnership with God in a company called Life....,Your life.! And all your contribution stays at 10%.
You can rest assured that this company is well managed, and will flourishes year after year,.... Because God is in control!!

WHEN YOU COME TO GOD - whether He finds you or you do, and begins to worship Him faithfully, the first thing He let's you in on, is this privilege- paying back a tenth- This practice spiritual positions you where you can receive His blessing in full measure.
Obedience to this practice also test your Faith, as
 tithing is more about Faith and Trust than it is about money. Trusting God in this basic area builds up faith and trust muscles which transfers to other issues.

THE BIBLE SAYS ABRAM PAID A TENTH of his gains to God through the Priest... Genesis 14:20 And God bless Abram (who became Abraham) abundantly.
EXAMINING THE SCRIPTURAL text where God discusses tithing, can give us clues on how and why we need to tithe. Malachi 3:10 says;
"'BRING THE WHOLE TITHE INTO THE STOREHOUSE  SO THAT THERE MAY BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE AND TEST ME NOW IN THIS,' SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS, 'IF I WILL NOT OPEN FOR YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN, AND POUR OUT FOR YOU A BLESSING UNTIL IT OVER FLOWS."
What is the Storehouse the Lord is speaking of?

Most consider it the tither's Church home. Notice that God is very practical; "so that there may be food in My house" - or the Electric Bills will be paid, a Salary will be provided the Pastor, the A/Cs can be replaced, Bibles and Scriptural materials can be bought etc. A Church can only continue to function if there are Giving people who support it.

God must consider tithing mighty important because he attaches a promise to any who practice it. Giving to His Kingdom and His work will CAUSE Him to open Heaven's windows and pour out an overflowing blessing.

When we think about tithing, the most important thing is that we examine our heart. Do we have a giving heart? Do we want to give God our first and best? Not out of obligation but out of love.

In the Old Testament, the Israelites tithed on three things: crops, the fruit of their trees, and herds and flocks. For the livestock, this is how it was done: as the animals passed out of the pasture, every tenth one was pulled to be given to God. That method insured that inferior animals were not selected or that God was given only that which would be desirable to discard.

SOME PEOPLE ARGUE THAT; "Well, that's Old Testament; we are now in the new covenant and don't have to do those things anymore." Jesus does mention tithing in the New Testament. He says it in a way that assumes tithing is fully intact. He tells the hard hearted Pharisees: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone." (Matthew 23:23)

Giving always produces great results, usually more than we expect. No matter how much we give, we cannot out give God. As said earlier, Tithing is not an Obligation as much as it is an Opportunity. "Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Just like a groom who wants to give his bride the most beautiful diamond engagement ring he can possibly afford, we should want to give God all the first fruits from our life.

Here is one wonderful story on how God smiles on our giving in obedience to his word, I read from Hannah's cupboard  and love sharing;

    "A few weeks ago, a close friend of mine, called to tell me what had happened to her earlier that morning at church. My friend is in a very precarious financial situation right now and it has been this way some years now. Yes, she makes it every month but just barely. Regardless of how small her income is, however, she always gives God the first tenth of it. She learned this principle as a child but lately it has been a real test of Faith.

On this Sunday morning she was one hour late to Church because of having to take back roads she didn't know so well. Previously she had always taken the turnpike to Church, but the toll had just gone up and she literally did not have the fifty cent(₹30/-) to pay it. When she finally made it to the Church parking lot she just sat there awhile. She hated to go in that late. Well, she finally thought, "I'll just go in and give my tithe." She said.
This was a toughie because she had little food in her house and was $20(₹1200/-) short on her rent which was due the next day.
She went in and found the guy who counts the offering and gave her tithe and then asked him for better directions to get back home.
She was explaining she was short for the toll when the Pastor's wife who knows her well overheard. She walked up and said, "Oh, Maggie just take the turnpike!" and handed her a $20/-bill(₹1200/-). As Margaret was saying how much this meant to her the woman (counting the offering )said; "You know what ?- God has really blessed me - here, take this too" and handed her an additional $100/-(₹6,500/-)

Margaret could now take the turnpike home, buy some food and pay her rent. Her tithe had only been $32 so God had quadrupled his return to her at a very opportune time. She felt reenergised and encouraged by the Lord's loving-kindness.
This is how your tithe can get you out of some tight position.

Begin your own walk of faith and obedience. If you have never tithed before, think of it this way: God owns it all anyway and you get to keep 90%. That's a pretty good deal. In the end you will find that you cannot out-give God.
